In India, there is no concept of health insurance. Patients, who can afford it, pay for treatment out of pocket. Those who cannot, die.
However, even a few dollars go a long way in an all volunteer organization . Our operating expenses are less than 10% which means more than 90% of your donation goes directly to people who need it. Consider this. A donation of
$5 will put another toy in our toy bank. $60 will put a child through school for 1 year. $100 will pay for 1 week of chemotherapy treatment for 1 child.$500 will fund the entire treatment of a cancer patient.

The mission of Sahayta , a non-profit organization based in India, is to provide holistic (financial, emotional and social) support to people afflicted with cancer. Sahayta means help and support in Hindi, and our intention is to instill confidence, hope and courage in the minds of patients and their family members.
